Octagon Pond Elementary has recently been awarded a $500 grant from Nutrients for Life. With this money we will be creating a garden for our students. This initiative will enable us to create a hands on approach to gardening within our school community. It will help further our students understanding about the environmental and agricultural practices of growing your own food and the importance of knowing where your food comes from.
Thank you to Ms. Billard and Ms. Vokey for their work in securing this grant for our school. If you have an interest in helping out with this gardening endeavour, please contact them at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
